Anyone who is or was a client can complain to the Solicitors Complaints Committee about the service they received from their solicitor.

Apart from exceptional circumstances, a client must have already completed the in-house complaints process with the relevant solicitor before they will be able to submit a complaint to the Solicitors Complaints Committee.

Any complaint to the Solicitors Complaints Committee must be raised within 3 months of the conclusion of the in-house complaint process.
