What do we do?
We are an independent decision-making body responsible for considering and determining upon complaints raised against solicitors for legal services provided to the public.
Our aim is to ensure legal service provision by members of the solicitor profession remains at a high standard through investigating and determining complaints raised and sanctioning those who fall short of professional standards. We are committed to promoting the public interest and ensuring stronger oversight of the standard of legal service provision for greater public assurance.
Our processes and decisions are independent and impartial. We are committed to building a robust complaint handling mechanism with appropriate oversight which will contribute to building public trust and assurance in the Legal Profession in Northern Ireland.
